A. It is vitally important for Healthcare Professionals to know as much information as possible at a glance to provide proper efficient care.
A. Yes, if the cardholder has an emergency and is unconscious the medical personnel will know your medical conditions and can give you the treatment you will need.
A. The information on the card needs to be accurate and up to date to ensure medical personnel are receiving the correct information. For this reason, all eMED cards are equipped with an expiration date.

A. Yes. eMed will email the cardholder a reminder to update your card.
A. The camera type eMED suggests you to use is a Logitech, QuickCam for notebook. Please note that the files should be a maximum of 512K. All files will be converted to a PDF format.

A. The most important piece of information an EMT needs to know is what medications you are taking not the dosage. If there are any medication changes, a new card can be issued.

A. Your medical information can only be changed with the user name and password.  No person can change medical information without the user name and password which should be known only by the cardholder.

A. Power of attorney is a legal document allowing one person to act in a legal matter in another's behalf. (See Forms)
A. Health Directive is a document used to describe the instructions that an individual may provide to inform family members and health care providers of his/her health care wishes. This is an important way to ensure that your wishes are respected should you become mentally or physically unable to communicate them yourself. The Living Will and Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare Professionals are the two documents that provide these directives. (See Forms)
